After many years on the Internet TM1 is proud to present the latest revamp of our website. This is something like version 3.0 of the site since it’s humble beginnings back in 1999! I can’t belive how many years have passed since I first put a website on the Internet and little did I guess that it would still be around over a decade later. To celebrate ten years of giving radio enthusiasts a free place to meet up and exchange information, read reviews and trade equipment I have totally redeveloped the site to give it a fresh, easier to read layout with improved features that everyone can use.
The new site builds on the success of our older and somewhat tired content management system. Hopefully you will find the new site quicker to load and easier to find your way around. Search has been improved dramatically along with the introduction of tags and categories and RSS feeds so you can keep up to date as new articles are added. Over the next few months you will also see much new content added which brings me to another point. We carefully brought across the best of the old content from the original site but have dropped articles that we feel are no longer relevant. If you feel we have missed anything essential then please feel free to use the new contact form.
As a side note, if you want to know how far the site has progressed over the past 10 years please take a look at the Internet Archive’s “Way Back Machine” here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.transmission1.net/
Here’s to the next 10 years! π
